How to narrate the story of a innocent broken heart girl through photos ?

It's the challenge Kiara Betukumesu and I tried.

Artistic direction in photography was something that I never experimented before so I called my friend Kiara who is a talented photographer, to make my wishes come true.

To communicate my visions, I sent her this moodboard with the story I wanted to tell through the photographies.

We chose my little sister, Chanèze Krim, as the model. To make sure she would be comfortable in front of a camera and to make sure the make-up, hair and outfits I stylised were the right choice, we made some trials with a Kodak I had on hand. 

On set, I made sure everything went good : make-up, hair, accessories, poses from the model, the angles from the photographer, and the overall mood to have a great shooting day.

We shot at the Studio 13/16, the free studio of Centre Pompidou.

The photos came out amazing thanks to Kiara editing them. I learned a lot in this collaboration on how to work with other peers. 

I'm currently working on a zine, to display the beautiful work the 3 of us did.
